With the increasing interest in portable prompting applications, Autoscript is introducing a new LED on-camera teleprompter in an 8 inch screen size that takes composite and VGA inputs. Just like Autoscript’s studio size LED prompters, the new LED8TFT incorporates a built-in tally light, the tally sensor input, an illuminated control panel for easy viewing and the mounting pattern to incorporate the Clock Plus, Tally Plus, or Cue Plus accessories. Other enhancements include 30% less power consumption than the TFT8HB prompter and a monitor that is 17% less weight.

Although, one of the most important features needed in a portable prompting system, which is often used outdoors, is the brightness level. The new LED8TFT high bright provides 1700 nits of brightness. This is 10% brighter than the TFT8HB and offers outstanding performance under daylight conditions. This is an excellent solution for ENG, EFP and even small jib applications. The LED8TFT also addresses other needs for portable prompting applications with a compact size, rugged all-metal case and an on-camera mounting system versatile enough for nearly any portable camera. The LED8TFT is powered from an external AC to DC 12 volt power supply (4 pin XLR), but can also be powered with 12 volts DC from a battery for portable applications. It includes a 12 volt DC accessory outlet suitable for the Clock Plus, Tally Plus, or Cue Plus prompter accessories.
